The Avery Point EcoHusky Club is a student environmental organization open to all undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff.  We are focused on improving the environment and our goal is to enhance sustainability on the Avery Point campus and surrounding community through our actions and by gathering information and educating the campus community on a wide range of environmental issues.

ScubaLogoScuba Club at UCONN Avery Point

The Avery Point Scuba Club recreationally dives New England shore sites. The Club comprises students, staff, and community members with a common interest in the sport of scuba. We also attend marine shows and seminars in the area.
Meeting Time and Place: Announced at each meeting, typically Thursdays at 7:00 in the conference room, every other week.

The Ambassadors goal is to personalize the admissions process at the University of Connecticut, Avery Point, by providing information to prospective students from the point of view of current students. We strengthen the community outreach bond by volunteering in the community.

The Avery Point Writing Club is open to all on campus, and is coordinated by tutors in the Avery Point Academic Center. The club promotes and publishes creative writing, including short stories, poems, and more. The club publishes its works in an online publication, the Barque. The Barque has been away for a few years, but the Club plans a return in the fall of 2014. If you enjoy writing, please join us!
Meeting times and place: Meetings will be held in the Academic Center (ACD 107), days and times for fall to be determined.
