2011 Avery Point Graduation Ceremony

On Friday, May 6th, we recognized the accomplishments of our Class of 2011 graduating seniors.

The day was beautiful with the usual brisk breeze blowing in off the water, keeping the 500 graduates, family and frinds cool in the tent on the lawn by the Branford House Mansion. Dr. W. Frank Bohlen, member of the Marine Sciences faculty and keynote speaker, encouraged the audience to take an optimistic view of the problems of which we hear so frequently, to see the opportunities that solving the problems will create.

Graduate Katelyn Arruda gave the closing address and encouraged the graduates to take responsibilty for their lives and to work to improve the world.
